as there seem to be times when the actions of the worlds’ trend setters simply pass me by. For example I fail to see how throwing globes, strawberries and martinis at other people on Facebook, make money for anyone. At this stage I truly believe that we are the willing testers in the bright IT programmers crazy and fun world. At what stage do all the one dollar donations we make by simply clicking and joining a cause actually GO TO THE HUNGRY? Someone please help this old and befuddled brain.
I also recall a period, a good few years ago when I thought I had been transported to a different planet. The politicians ceased overnight to speak an understandable language and catch phrases were everywhere. This habit was soon adopted by the corporate world and within a mere 6 month period, manuals the size of the original Oxford Dictionary were being printed in order to help the dummies like myself decipher what on earth was being said. Acronyms Abound I think it was called. Thankfully on Planet Zeph, English was still the language of choice, there were other challenges, but I could acrimoniously express myself without the politically correct use of acronyms. I found that very satisfying, but back to Earth…
At the moment my confusion comes specifically as a result of some research I have been doing. Next year, that is the year after 2009, this country I live in, at the Southern Tip of Africa commonly know as not North, not West, not East, but _____ Africa, is playing host to the biggest challenge in a four year cycle, of a sport called football. Just to be clear this is the sport where the ball is round and black and white, spelt by teenagers as SOCCA. The challenge is called the “combination of all continents warm drink receptacle” This event has been hosted by various countries across the globe and is organized by the Federation Internationale de Football Association. Got it?
The reason I express myself in this manner is to ensure that I do not contravene any of the rules
Can someone now help me please? How do I market a product developed in time for and pertaining to this event, to English speaking people, without saying the actual words “2010 Soccer World Cup?”
